Geeks On Site is happy to share the following tips on how to clean out your computer:

1. Get rid of the old and unnecessary: Delete files that you no longer need, uninstall programs that you no longer use, and remove unnecessary start-up items. This will enhance the speed and performance of your computer significantly.
2. Organize your files so that you will easily find what you need. Don’t cluster one drive with all the information, when you can use one drive for programs and another for documents. Create folders for your documents and give each folder a logical name that you will easily remember.
3. Back-up your files in hard drives or disks; don’t risk heart-ache over lost documents and pictures!
4. Clean the surface of your computer too (but turn off the computer before doing so)! Wipe the computer screen with a dry cloth. Dampen the cloth with water or rubbing alcohol to swipe the keyboard and mouse. You can use cotton buds to get the dirt out from in between the keys.
